Beams & Ceilings
Most rooms leave the ceiling flat, so putting something up there is one of the easier features to sell. We install box beams, faux and timber beam sets, coffered grids, tray detail, and planked ceilings. Every one gets laid out to the room's centerlines first, so the grid lands even against the walls once it's up.

What goes into beams & ceilings.
A ceiling feature is what makes someone stop and look up, and it only works if the layout is right. We lay every one out to the room's centerlines before we set a board:
Box beams
Hollow, site-built beams that read as heavy timber without the weight or the cost. A single beam over an island, parallel runs, or a full grid.
Coffered ceilings
Full recessed-panel grids, laid out square and even because everyone looks up. (See our coffered ceiling guide and box beam vs. coffered vs. tray.)
Tray detail & plank ceilings
Trimmed-out tray recesses, and shiplap or tongue-and-groove run overhead for a planked ceiling.
Real timber, faux & beam wraps
Solid timber, faux beams, and wraps over structural members and LVLs. (See faux beams vs. real wood beams.)
Why it matters to your schedule
A beamed or coffered ceiling is a high-dollar feature, and there's nowhere to hide a crooked line once it's overhead. We snap the layout to the room's centerlines before anything goes up, so the spacing is even and it looks like it was planned that way.
