Finish carpentry is the only thing Dunn Trim Co. does. We don’t frame and we don’t chase a little of every trade, so the crew that shows up is the crew that installs trim and cabinets all day. Most companies land on one side or the other, usually quick but a little rough, or careful but slow to finish. We built our process to avoid that trade-off. The work looks right and it keeps moving, so we’re never the sub a builder has to babysit. When one crew owns the whole finish package, the schedule holds and the punch list stays short.
We install cabinets through crown, stairs, shiplap, and the custom one-offs that take extra time to get right. We work for general contractors and custom-home builders across Knoxvilleand East Tennessee, and we treat your schedule and your client’s walkthrough the same way we’d treat our own. This is a real business with systems behind it, not a random crew you found online, and dependable enough that the builders who bring us on once tend to keep us on the jobs after.

Nicholas Dunn learned finish carpentry the hard way — on the job, across hundreds of East Tennessee homes, hanging cabinets, coping crown, building stairs, and scribing trim until precision was second nature. He founded Dunn Trim Co. to do one thing at a master's level: install the entire finish package for builders who want it handled right. He's hands-on where it counts, and he holds every job that leaves with the Dunn Trim Co. name to the same exacting standard.

Reliability
We show up in the window we gave you and we keep the job moving. You get the same crew and the same system every time, so we're easy to plan around and easy to work with. We're never the reason a job runs long.
Craftsmanship
We cope the inside corners, keep the miters tight, and hold the same reveal, about a quarter inch of casing to the jamb, all the way around. We fasten into framing instead of drywall so nothing works loose down the road.
Clean job sites
We clean up as we go and leave it broom-clean and punch-light, ready for the client walk and the next trade behind us.
